Concerned Persons Group

This group is designed to better understand how you can help a friend or family member who is trapped by a life-controlling problem.  It is also designed to help those who are suffering the painful consequences of a loved one’s life-controlling problem.  We define a life-controlling problem as anything that masters or controls a person’s life.

It contains important self-awareness principles and timely biblical principles aimed at offering encouragement and strength in God’s love.  It is designed for the many people who have a current or past relationship with a person who has a life-controlling problem.  It emphasizes the need we all have for each other and helps people focus on Christ rather than on the problem.

We focus on the process of building strength into our lives.  The problems aren’t going to magically disappear, but we will develop the strength to deal with them.

This group meets weekly on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. at the Stanton Assembly of God located at 280 Washington Street, hosted by facilitators Ed & Teresa Tackett.  This group is open to anyone in the community.  Let us know if you have an interest in this session, feel free to let us know by completing and submitting this interest form.   Note that "Concerned Persons Group" attendance is now required of all new client accountability partners.
